The intake of Fener, as it is known today, was inaugurated in 1929 and feeds the Brentella canal, withdrawing from the Piave up to 45 mc/s.
The withdrawal is possible through the river barrier consisting of 2 sector sluice gates with a span of 10 meters, moved with an ingenious system of floating counterweights located inside the dividing partitions of the sluice gates.
