A bit of history...

The hydroelectric power plant of Sambucheto in the province of Macerata, Italy, built in 1902, uses the water of the Potenza river which is channeled through an intake work and conveyed to a turbine which, connected to an alternator, generates electricity.
At the beginning of the 2000s, extraordinary interventions was carried out which allowed greater production and, in 2004, the request for and obtain the recognition of green certificates. The energy produced before the aforementioned interventions was on average 1,400,000 kWh, while from 2004 onwards production fluctuated between 1,600,000 and 1,800,000 kWh, depending on the rainfall that feeds the basin.
The planned works will allow to reach an average production of 3,000,000 kWh, compatibly with the rainfall that feeds the basin.
